Black dogs don't lie, they languish, but it's illusory— They're not depleted, they ripple with violence. Brutality isn't assertion. Destruction denies restoration. It won't accept regret. It won't admit guilt. Though inertial aggression endures, Endurance isn't invincibility. The effects of ambivalent-treatment are abandoned in darkness: Love is entombed until Light's restoration; Hate incubates ... The Black Dog usurps the Host's development and autonomy. In its assumed maturity and power, Rage and brutality are restrained. Deferring aggression unnaturally confines and dissociates passion. Resulting aberrated passion is shameful. The Black Dog demands reverence. The Host's reverence isn't 'complicit'. Its terror is instilled, Fearing being terrorized. Repression isn't extinction. Black dogs won't resign. They won't be tamed. But, blackness won't prevail.
