Fractured Sun

Upon the dawn, my horse came calling, as a fractured sun did find her feet. I found my heart and braced the cold, and saddled up to find a feast. Noon did come as swift as defeat, as a shadow lingered behind my hopes. Then the eve came bellowing through, yet my soul remained unsatiated. As the moon did set her gaze, I yearned for freedom from fleeting strength. I found my knees upon the floor, with beseeching hands, I pled for warmth. And as the witching hour came to pass, I pondered God's benevolence and grace. What of me would find fulfillment? What of me would remain?
